CEA RA 2009

Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2

 
The CEA Representative Assembly (RA), held each May, is CEA’s highest policy-making body. During two days of business, approximately 500 delegates take action to decide Association policies, including adopting amendments to the CEA RA Standing Rules, the CEA Constitution and Bylaws, approving revisions to the CEA Resolutions, voting on new business items and vote to approve CEA's fiscal-year budget.


Meeting Information:

The RA convenes at the Crowne Plaza on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The RA re-convenes on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Delegate registration is from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday
Delegate registration is from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday

Voting and voting registration will be held at the Crowne Plaza on Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. (the Election recess may vary slightly to accommodate the needs of the RA)

If a run-off ballot becomes necessary, voting will be held from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Any subsequent run-offs will be announced from the chair.

Breakfast:


On Saturday morning, CEA is sponsoring a complimentary Registrant Breakfast Buffet.  The Buffet will open at 6:30am and stay open until 8:45am and will be held in the Gardens (just past the pool).  Badges are required for entry.  Enjoy!

The Crowne Plaza hotel is the headquarter hotel and the site of the RA and all related activities.  This includes registration, breakfast, food concessions, voter registration and elections.  The Crowne Plaza is a smoke free environment.  For reservations please contact the hotel directly and ask for the CEA RA rate.  Discounted rates are available on a first come, first serve basis until April 10th.

$99 per room, per night, plus tax    Single or Double Occupancy

$109 per room, per night, plus tax  Triple Occupancy
$119 per room, per night, plus tax  Quadruple Occupancy

Continuous complimentary shuttle service will be provided between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the Courtyard by Marriott on Friday from 3:15-7:30pm and again from 10:30pm-2am.  On Saturday the shuttle will run from 6:30-9:30am and again from 12-4:30pm. This is a smoke free hotel.
