The Connecticut Education Foundation is a non-profit, charitable foundation that was established in 1991 to help teachers and children with extraordinary personal hardships and students planning teaching careers. The Board of Directors governs the CEF and administers the four funds and the Holiday Bear Project described below.

You can also support CEF by using From You Flowers. From You Flowers is offering CEA members a 10% discount on every order! An additional 10% of your order will be donated to the Connecticut Education Foundation!

Thanks for supporting the children and teachers of public education!

The Fund was posthumously named to honor Edward J. Boland, a devoted teacher and dear friend to all. Grants are awarded to assist teachers who may face such conditions as severe family illness, unforeseen disasters, or other serious financial burdens. Requests are accepted throughout the year.

Be An Angel Program You can be an angel all year long!
The Connecticut Education Foundation (CEF) is pleased to announce the “Be An Angel” program. CEF is offering for purchase a variety of angel ornaments, handcrafted pewter logo pins and pewter logo ornaments.

CEF has collaborated with Ten Thousand Villages of West Hartford to offer angel ornaments for you to purchase all year long. Ten Thousand Villages specializes in arts and crafts made by women in Third World countries. These women are compensated fairly for their skills and products. All the angels are handmade in countries such as Ecuador, Indonesia, Kenya, and the Philippines. All profits from the sale of these angels will be donated to CEF.

Pewter logo ornaments and pins were customized by Woodbury Pewter, and are available for purchase. Woodbury Pewter items are all handcrafted in the USA and made from the highest quality, lead-free pewter, manufactured in Woodbury, CT since 1952.

Prices for these ornaments range from $3 - $12. Angels are available for purchase at CEA and at many CEA conferences and events.

Pewter logo ornaments are $10, and pewter pins are $5.
Contact: Sheila Cohen, CEF President at 800-842-4316 or (860) 525-5641. If Sheila is unavailable, contact Barbara Lupia or Michelle Tine at the same numbers.
