Teacher Leader Fellowship Program Institute
Shifting Sands: Stories of Teacher Creativity, Innovation, Collaboration and Resiliency

The Theme of this year’s Teacher Leader Fellowship Program’s Annual Institute is Trusting Teachers to Lead: Stories of Teacher Creativity, Innovation, Collaboration and Resiliency During an Extraordinary Year. Tim Walker, a Connecticut raised teacher who now lives and teaches in Finland, will discuss the ways teachers in Finland are trusted that he and Pasi Sahlberg discuss in their new book, In Teachers We Trust. The day will be filled with examples and stories of our own Connecticut teachers from throughout the state who traveled a road never taken by any of us. You will hear uplifting, practical suggestions from teachers in our fellowship who have navigated this year with creativity, innovate techniques, deep collaboration with colleagues, and resiliency. Final words of wisdom will be offered by Bena Kallick with a panel of teacher leaders. There will be many opportunities for small-group interaction throughout the day.
