CEA DISCLAIMER/COMMENT POLICY

We encourage comments on BlogCEA so that readers may share information and add to the discussion. It’s of primary importance that all who read and comment here feel that they are in a safe and civil environment.

To comment, you must provide a valid email address, but this email address will not be visible to other visitors to the blog. All comments on BlogCEA are reviewed before they are posted. We expect that participants will treat each other, as well as CEA and its members and staff, with respect. Disagreement is welcome but must be expressed respectfully.

Comments should be directly related to a post’s topic. Your comments should be pertinent to the topic of the story and should add something new to the discussion. If you are clearly engaging in a pattern of mean-spirited attacks from one story to the next, we will stop approving your comments.

We reserve the right to post or not post comments. Specifically, we will not post comments if they are (a) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable (as solely determined by CEA), contain personal attacks of any kind; or violate any law, including intellectual property laws; (b) “spam,” i.e., an attempt to advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote goods and services; or (c) contain links to other websites.

BlogCEA is an organizational arm of CEA and supported by member dues. In accordance with our campaign rules and the federal Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) it is impermissible to use any of CEA’s resources to advance the candidacy of an individual running for CEA office. Therefore, no such comments will be allowed on the blog to comply with CEA campaign rules and federal law.
Comments will be read and posted as soon as is reasonably possible.

Comment authors retain ownership of their comments. CEA does not own them and expressly disclaims any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on BlogCEA, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve CEA from any and all liability that may result from those postings.
