Champions for

public education

Connecticut students need a champion!

From Fairfield to Litchfield, New Haven to Hartford, and New London to Windham, all Connecticut children deserve a great public education.

More than 500,000 students are enrolled in public schools across this state. That’s over 500,000 growing children and young adults – 90% of all students – and every one of them deserves to attend schools with the resources, programs, and curriculum to nurture their curiosity, imagination, spirit, talents, and desire to learn.

Every student deserves to attend schools with the resources, programs, and curriculum to nurture their curiosity, imagination, spirit, talents, and desire to learn.

It takes a team to create and maintain our public schools. A team of passionate professionals dedicated to student growth and learning: classroom teachers, nurses, counselors, coaches, librarians, and more. Every day, they work hard so our students are prepared academically and socially for bright futures.

Providing for and ensuring that children and families have the freedom to learn and pursue their dreams through unfettered access to a quality education is our top priority. Together, we can create schools where every student can succeed, regardless of their skin color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability.

Connecticut’s children need us all to champion public education so they can build the skills they need for a brighter future. Being a champion means we engage, advocate, and urge our elected leaders to ensure adequate funding for our public schools, equitable access to quality education, and policies that support our fantastic students and teachers across the state. Together we can use our collective voice to realize this vision!
