Connecticut students need public education champions!

From Fairfield to Litchfield, New Haven to Hartford, and New London to Windham, we believe that all Connecticut children deserve a great public education.

Over 500,000 students are enrolled in public schools across our state, representing 90% of all students. Each of these growing children and young adults deserves to attend schools with the resources, programs, and curriculum that nurture their curiosity, imagination, spirit, talents, and desire to learn.

Every student deserves to attend schools with the resources, programs, and curriculum to nurture their curiosity, imagination, spirit, talents, and desire to learn.

We commit to ensuring long-term solutions for adequate education funding, addressing teacher shortages, and tackling issues of recruitment and retention. We will work to bring respect back to the teaching profession, acknowledging the vital role educators play in our society.

It takes a dedicated team to create and maintain our public schools. This team includes passionate professionals such as classroom teachers, nurses, counselors, coaches, and librarians, all of whom are committed to student growth and learning. Every day, they work tirelessly to prepare our students academically and socially for bright futures.

Our top priority is to provide for and ensure that children and families have the freedom to learn and pursue their dreams through unfettered access to a quality public education. Together, we pledge to create public schools where every student can succeed, regardless of their skin color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability.

Connecticut’s children need us to champion public education so they can build the skills necessary for a brighter future. We are committed to working to pursue

  • Adequate and sustained funding for our public schools.
  • Equitable access to quality education for every student.
  • Policies that provide high levels of support for our incredible students and teachers.
  • Solutions to address and resolve teacher shortages.
