The CEA Pride Commission was established to provide a community for Connecticut LGBTQ+ educators and allies. Come to a monthly meeting to learn more about advocating for the community through collaboration, support, resources, and professional development/workshops.
CEA Pride is dedicated to celebrating a culture of inclusivity, promoting equity throughout our communities, and providing a safe space for all students, families, and educators.
Most meetings are virtual, and the next one takes place Thursday, September 17, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Join us online every month for CEA Pride meetings and discuss current issues, support, and the advancement of LGBTQ+ rights for staff and students. All are welcome! No pre-registration is necessary.
In addition to monthly meetings, in recent years CEA Pride has marched in the Middletown PrideFest parade, taken part in events in Hartford and New Haven, and hosted several social gatherings of its own, including an LGBTQ+ support brunch for teachers and staff. The group also offers a summer retreat, webinars, and workshops designed to help educators become better allies for LGBTQ+ students and colleagues.
