Yesterday 2oo CEA members and other education supporters took part in the Connecticut Education Foundation’s (CEF) 15th Annual Hands Across the Green Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament took place at Glastonbury Hills Country Club.
The golf tournament supports the CEF Children’s Fund, which assists needy students in Connecticut’s public schools by providing them with basic needs they lack. These needs may include clothes, eyeglasses, and hearing aids. The absence thereof can create obstacles to learning for these children.
CEF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization established by the Connecticut Education Association in 1991, administers The Children’s Fund.
Stonington Education Association members (at right) took first place net, and Jeremy Klein and Bob Borkowski of Merrill Lynch won first place gross.
Did you attend the golf tournament? How do you think it went?
