The All Eyes on Yass campaign, originally based in Pennsylvania, has focused on Pennsylvania billionaire Jeff Yass – once a quiet unknown name – who has quickly become one of the largest political donors in the United States. His top priority: to abolish public schools. Worth about $66 billion, Yass has spent tens of millions of dollars in more than 20 states to supercharge voucher and school privatization legislation and oust pro-public education elected officials. He laid the groundwork for Trump’s education agenda that has dismantled the Dept of Education and passed a nationwide voucher program.
