Large caseloads, teacher and paraprofessional shortages, and inadequate funding are all part of the crisis facing special education. Legislators have indicated that special education is one of their primary areas of focus this legislative session, and special education teachers need to speak up to make sure legislators choose proposals that will truly make a difference.
As a special education teacher, you have a window into the issues that get in the way of delivering the quality education and providing the safe learning environment every student deserves.
CEA is inviting special education teachers to hour-long virtual roundtable discussions to get your feedback about what would truly move the needle to improve special education for students and educators. We need your input to effectively lobby for real-world solutions to the special education crisis.
Choose the date that works best for you. Each session runs from 4 to 5 p.m. and is open to the first 40 CEA members who register.
