Early Voting is now open in primary elections for registered Democrats and Republicans in Connecticut. Primary Day is August 11, but Early Voting runs today through August 9.
Voters registered with a party have several primaries to vote in. There is a statewide primary in the race for governor for Democrats and many regional and local primaries for both parties, including in the 1st Congressional District (Democrats) and 4th and 5th Congressional Districts (Republicans). Connecticut is a closed primary state, meaning that voters not affiliated with a political party are not eligible to take part in primary elections.

If you are not yet registered, or are registered as unaffiliated, but want to vote during the Early Voting period before the Primary Election, file your voter registration application (for a party holding a primary) in person with the registrars of voters in your town by noon on the business day before the day you want to vote.
