The Connecticut Education Foundation (CEF), CEA’s charitable arm, is hosting its annual golf tournament to benefit Connecticut children in need on July 13, and all CEA members are invited to participate and support CEF.
There are still slots open in the morning shotgun! If you register as a foursome the fee is $700—which includes coffee, donuts, a barbeque lunch, dinner, golf, a raffle, and an open bar.
Hands Across the Green, which celebrates its 31st year this summer, also welcomes local associations and business partners to participate as hole sponsors or donate to support CEF—and you can donate to support CEF year round at cefgives.org.

239 Country Club Rd., South Glastonbury
7:30 a.m. shotgun
“Hands Across the Green is our largest fundraising event of the year,” says CEF President and CEA Vice President Joslyn DeLancey, “and we’re excited to be back on the course for a good time and a great cause. We encourage everyone who is interested to join us.”
She adds, “One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to The Children’s Fund, CEF’s program to benefit Connecticut students whose families are struggling to afford the basics. As educators, we all tend to pay out of our own pockets for supplies that will enhance our children’s school experience. Many teachers also find themselves helping their neediest students with food, school supplies, medical provisions, clothing, and other necessities. The Children’s Fund helps close that gap.”
