This Labor Day, let’s stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow educators and union members from across Connecticut. It’s a day to recognize the hard work of working people everywhere and to celebrate the strength that comes when we join together through our unions.
As part of CEA’s celebration of organized labor, CEA President Kate Dias will be speaking at the Hartford Labor Day Rally on Monday, September 1, from 12–3 p.m. at the State Capitol. The event will bring together unions from across the state to honor the history of the labor movement, uplift the vital role of public education, and demonstrate our shared commitment to fairness and respect in the workplace.
Educators know better than anyone that when we unite, we can make a difference—not only for our profession, but for our students, our schools, and our communities. That’s why your voice matters. We’ll have some CEA signs available, or you can bring your own.
Labor Day is more than just a holiday—it’s our day. Let’s show up, speak out, and make it clear that educators and all workers are stronger together.
