Join your colleagues this Thursday in Rocky Hill for a workshop titled Supporting Muslim Students and Families: What Every Teacher Needs to Know.
At this workshop, sponsored by the CEA Human and Civil Rights Commission and the Anti-Defamation League of Connecticut, participants will hear presentations from experts, work with case studies, and interact with panelists to:
- Understand the basics of Islam
- Learn about the impact of the current societal climate on Muslim children
- Discuss how to foster connections and trust between students, families, and schools
The workshop will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Hartford South, 100 Capital Boulevard, in Rocky Hill. A light buffet dinner will be available from 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
