As the Connecticut Education Foundation plans the fourth annual CEA Celebrates Education and Advocacy Gala, CEF is looking to honor members who are committed to both unionism and public education.
The CEF gala will honor one early-career educator, one retired member, and one administrator—and we’re seeking nominations.
- The early-career educator should be a member in the first seven years of teaching who has gone above and beyond with education and advocacy efforts.
- The retiree award winner should be a CEA-Retired member who continues to actively support teachers, public education, and the work of CEA and CEA-Retired.
- The administrator (superintendent or building administrator) should be committed to caring for their school community, protecting teacher rights, and doing what’s best for Connecticut public schools.
The gala committee will accept nominations through Friday, June 26.
If you know a member who does not fit these specific criteria but deserves to be recognized, please look for our Human and Civil Rights Awards and Public Relations Awards nominations next school year.
We look forward to celebrating with you at our annual gala on Friday, October 2!
