As teachers return to the routine of the school year, many could use additional financial resources to support their work. The NEA Foundation offers three different grants to educators and the final deadline to apply for 2022 is this Thursday, September 15.
If you need outside funding to innovate and address equity, purchase classroom resources, and engage in meaningful professional development check out the following grants from the NEA Foundation available to current NEA members that help fund projects between $1,500 and $5,000.
NEA Foundation Envision Equity Grants enable educators to test creative new ideas and innovations, demonstrating exemplary teaching and learning. They also support project-based learning and help educators to advance students’ cultural understanding and appreciation, anti-racism commitments, and understanding of civic engagement and democracy. NEA Foundation Student Success Grants support educators engaging students in project-based and deeper learning to support the development of skills and dispositions contributing to success and fulfillment in a changing world. The funding can be used for resource materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, or technology. Learn more.
NEA Foundation Learning & Leadership Grants support the professional development of NEA members. Learning and Leadership grants are intended to provide resources for educators hoping to engage in professional learning that can be implemented in their classrooms, such as opportunities to participate in summer institutes, conferences, seminars, travel abroad programs, or action research. Apply for any of these three grants by September 15, 2022, to be notified by November 15, 2022.
