The lead-up to a break is always a challenge. It seems like the time when students want to see what buttons they can push while you are pulling out all the tricks to keep them engaged! But the break has come, and it is time to exhale.
So this week, as we gather with family and friends and reflect on the gratitude we feel in our lives, keep in mind that joining in that thanks are students, former students, parents, and colleagues across the state, country, and maybe even the world who are extremely grateful for you and the work you do.
Teaching is a profession that touches people in profound ways and can make an impact over multiple generations. So many adults credit their teachers with who they are today and often pass on lessons they learned to their own children. What seems like a small gesture to you may become a cherished moment that makes a student feel seen and heard.
To be your best for your students you need opportunities to relax and recharge. We hope this week provides you with a chance to reconnect with family and friends and also rest and feel refreshed for the month ahead.
Your work makes a difference. We couldn’t be more thankful for all you do and for the privilege of representing you.
