Would you like to help support our newer teachers? Do you have expertise on a topic that can benefit your colleagues? Then we want to hear from you!
The CEA Membership Training and Conference Committee is looking for new topics and presenters to expand the sessions available to our members attending the Early Career Educators Conference.
The conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Heritage Hotel and Conference Center in Southbury from 8:30 am to 1 pm. While anyone can attend, the sessions focus on issues, challenges, and information for teachers who have been in the classroom for fewer than seven years.
We are looking for CEA members willing to present one 90-minute session twice during the conference.
Sessions are presented in the following categories:
- Pedagogy (instructional techniques and strategies, designing units, projects, lessons, and activities)
- Behavior and Classroom Management (setting up rules, routines, and procedures; rewards and consequences; finding the right amount of discipline for your classroom)
- Managing Your Professional Life (professional relationships, paperwork, licensure, legal issues)
Click here if you are interested in submitting a proposal that fits one of these categories.
Proposals will be accepted until Friday, November 19, 2021. Successful applicants will be notified in mid-December.
CEA will provide presenters dinner and overnight accommodations at the Heritage Hotel on March 25. A continental breakfast and lunch during the conference is provided for all attendees.
