This summer, Connecticut’s new professional soccer team, Hartford Athletic, played at the grand reopening of the city’s Dillon Stadium before a sold-out crowd. If you haven’t already, now’s your chance to catch one of the final games of their inaugural season—at an amazing savings!
Thanks to a new partnership, Hartford Athletic is offering CEA members discounted tickets to their October 5 home game, when the team squares off against the Swope Park Rangers. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and the first 500 fans at the Saturday evening game receive free first-aid kits as part of a community health promotion. Tickets normally priced at $21 are available to CEA members for only $15.
CEA members also have the option of a post-match VIP photo at center field, free to the first 60 participants who sign up here.
“We’re very excited to offer this new benefit to our members,” says CEA Communications Director Nancy Andrews, who serves as staff liaison to CEA’s Member Benefits Committee. “This year, we brought our members discounted tickets to Yankees and Red Sox games, and we’re pleased to be adding the first professional soccer team to our benefits roster. Teachers throughout the state are enthusiastic about having a professional sports team back in Connecticut, and many of them have asked if we could pursue a CEA member discount to these games. We’re happy to report that we scored. Members will save almost 30 percent on admission to the October 5 CEA Teacher Appreciation Day games, and we look forward to adding more dates next year. ”
