Next Friday, join other CEA members for an evening of thoughtful theater, engaging entertainment, and collegiality — and raise money for an important cause at the same time.
On March 29, at TheaterWorks in Hartford, CEA members will gather to enjoy an award-winning play about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Mountaintop re-imagines the events that might have taken place the night before the assassination of Dr. King.
The play has been described as, “Vivid, engaging, enlivening … a commanding King … with depth and conviction, vibrant theatricality” by the Houston Chronicle, and the New York Times said it is “an undeniable thrill.”
A wine and cheese reception begins at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.
This TheaterWorks event is a benefit for the Connecticut Education Foundation (CEF), CEA’s non-profit, charitable foundation. CEF is committed to helping children and teachers with extraordinary personal hardships and students planning teaching careers.
Tickets are $40. For more information, and to purchase tickets, please contact CEA Vice President Jeff Leake at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Administrative Assistant to the Vice President Mary-Pat Soucy at email@example.com.
