Keynote speaker Jed Dearybury discusses the power of play, and breakout sessions developed by educators for educators center on practical strategies for balancing technology and human-centered learning.
A 13-year classroom educator, Milken fellow, and South Carolina honoree of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching, Dearybury teaches higher-education courses in children’s literature, creativity and play for early childhood, and fine arts in the elementary school. His books include The Playful Classroom: The Power of Play for All Ages, Courageous Classroom (written with Dr. Janet Taylor), and The Playful Life: The Power of Play in Our Everyday.
