This year has challenged us unlike any other that has come before it. Thank you for all you are doing to help our students and communities through this very difficult time—and for being there for our students and for each other.
As we move into the new year, we will continue to stand up and fight for the safety precautions students and teachers deserve. You do the critical work of educating Connecticut students every day, and your safety and health must be paramount to decision makers.
Please remember to sign and mail the postcards to legislators that are arriving in your mailbox this week so that, working together, we can persuade lawmakers to keep students and educators safe. We all look forward to the widespread availability of COVID vaccines coming in 2021, and the light and hope that this scientific breakthrough represents.
Our hope for you this holiday season is that you can get some much-needed rest and down time to relax and safely connect with loved ones and that we can all keep hope alive for a brighter spring and summer.
Wishing you safe and happy holidays,
Jeff Leake
