Discover how to use creativity as a force for transformation in the classroom at the Teacher Leader Fellowship Academy Institute on May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.
Sponsored by the Teacher Leader Fellowship Academy at Sacred Heart University with support from CEA, the Institute will feature an outstanding keynote by Peter Gamwell (pictured above), co-author of Thinker, Learner, Dreamer, Doer: Innovative Pedagogies for Cultivating Every Student’s Potential and The Wonder Wall: Leading Creative Schools and Organizations in an Age of Complexity.
Additionally, the Human Library will allow participants to hear the stories of educators, administrators, and students to inspire new approaches and ways of thinking. Examples of the stories that will be shared include:
- Cautious Curiosity: Stewarding educators and leaders in collaborative learning around generative AI
- EDCAMP Teacher-Designed PD: Empowering and energizing educators through curiosity and connections
- Reggio Emilia, Italy’s Approach to Learning: How it can be integrated into our schools

- How Can We Save Marc? Student learning through interdisciplinary approaches
Early-bird registration (on or before April 25) is $100 per person and includes food and materials. Registration after April 25 is $125 per person. There is no registration fee for educators from Teacher Leader Fellowship Academy Districts: CREC, CTECS, Mansfield, South Windsor, Stratford, and West Hartford.
