Decisions coming out of Washington in recent weeks have been head spinning and often seem to be more focused on creating problems than solving them.
As educators, we know that change doesn’t just come from Washington—it comes from us. It starts at the local level, right here in Connecticut, and we have the power to make a difference.
Please join us on Wednesday, March 19, for the National Day of Action. Learn how you can be part of a movement for change here in Connecticut that will keep our students and our schools safe.
Here’s how you can take action on March 19:
- Wear Red for Ed to school to show your commitment to public education and solidarity with your fellow educators. When we rock the red, our efforts are seen and heard. Don’t forget to send your photos to us at info@cea.org.
- Join us at 5:30 p.m. for the Digital Rally for Our Future: When Institutions Fail, We Rise. This is our chance to come together as educators and leaders to discuss real solutions and actions we can take right here in Connecticut to protect our students and our schools.
This digital rally will feature CEA leaders and education experts who will walk us through practical steps we can take at the state and local levels. We’ll discuss ways to fight back against the chaos in Washington and advocate for policies right here at home that will safeguard our students’ futures and ensure our schools are fully supported.
Your voice matters—and when we come together, we are stronger than ever. With the right actions, we can rise above the challenges and make real, lasting change for our schools and students.
We hope you’ll join us on March 19 for this important event. Together, we can make a difference.
