Does your school need plants? Want to paint a mural? Could the teachers’ lounge use repainting? Do you have another idea for an exciting project to spruce up your school?
Every spring the CEA-Aspiring Educators Program completes a beautification project at a Connecticut public school. Due to COVID-19, this year the program is instead providing $3,000 grants to two local CEA affiliates interested in beautifying their schools.
Funding can be used for projects that help to improve the school and increase morale for both educators and students. The submission deadline is May 15.
Schools must demonstrate a need for funds within the application. Applications will be reviewed by May 30, and the announcement of winners will take place on June 1.
Winning schools must give permission for CEA to visit and take photos and/or conduct teacher interviews. Applications must be fully completed to be considered.
