Comptroller Kevin Lembo has been a tremendous advocate for public education, affordable healthcare, and sensible economic policies that have benefitted the people of Connecticut. We appreciate all that he has done to put the state on firmer financial footing and pay down the underfunded balance of the Teachers’ Retirement Fund.
As the state’s first Healthcare Advocate, Kevin has long prioritized the health of Connecticut residents. During the height of the pandemic, he stepped up to support the Essential Workers COVID-19 Assistance Fund, which allows essential workers who contracted COVID-19 reimbursement for lost wages and healthcare costs.
Kevin has been a friend to teachers and an advocate for positive change in the State of Connecticut. We are saddened at the news of his resignation, and wish him a speedy and full recovery.
