School is out or soon to be out in districts across Connecticut. As you look ahead to fun-filled summer activities, plan on joining us at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket on August 6 and 7 for the CEA Summer Conference.
This year’s conference features more than 40 different sessions to choose from. You can fill your schedule with a variety of workshops whether your focus is on starting out in your career, work-life balance, becoming a local leader, bargaining your contract, political advocacy, or something else.
Attendance is FREE and your registration includes:
- All sessions
- Breakfast and lunch both days
- A fun networking event Wednesday night
- Overnight accommodations* (for active members only) when rooming with another conference participant
* Reserve and retired members, as well as active members seeking single occupancy rooms, are responsible for making reservations and paying for their own hotel accommodations.
Sessions topics include everything from grievance processing and bargaining to educating with Pride, organizing to pass a local budget, social justice unionism, surviving teaching in the age of social media, and so much more.
