State Department of Education partners are offering virtual training this spring on specific aspects of CT-SEDS, the state’s new special education data system.
Public Consulting Group, the company that developed CT-SEDS, is offering professional learning opportunities throughout the spring and summer. The schedule for April and May is available now and includes virtual sessions on topics including trouble shooting error messages, progress reporting, reporting basics, and IEP amendments without meetings.
The Regional Education Service Center (RESC) Alliance is providing guided virtual sessions walking participants through system processes including the following:
- Annual Review and Revaluation (in the same meeting),
- PPT1 & PPT 2 (in the same meeting),
- Diagnostic Placement,
- Exiting Graduation and Maximum Age of Eligibility,
- Exiting: Ineligibility and Revocation of Consent,
- Pre-K Processes,
- Progress Reporting,
- Secondary/Transition,
- Section 504, and
- Targeted Evaluation.
