Join teachers from around the state this July for interactive sessions and networking opportunities. The Empowered to Lead Symposium, an annual event hosted by the Connecticut Teacher of the Year Council, provides opportunities for teacher-leaders, administrators, and other educators to articulate and enhance their collective power, expertise, and experience.
Taking place Monday, July 24, at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center from 9am to 3pm, choose from a variety of sessions that promote the sharing of ideas and resources, innovative strategies and solutions, and collaborative discourse and practices geared toward elevating our profession.
Speakers will include
- Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, 2016 Connecticut Teacher of the Year and 2016 National Teacher of the Year
- Kate Dias, President of CEA
- Charlene Russell-Tucker, Connecticut Commissioner of Education
