It’s that time of year again when summer temperatures outside often mean unbearable classrooms for students and teachers.
NEA is gathering information on member and student experiences with extreme heat in classrooms, buses, kitchens, playgrounds, and more. The information will be used to advocate for legislative and regulatory improvements, both at the federal level and to support states’ efforts.
Sharing your stories about heat-related school closures, health concerns, interrupted learning or activities, and more can help lead to change. Please take the survey and share it with your colleagues.
