“Seeing how a student has grown, what they’ve learned, and what they’re doing in their adult life—that’s the best gift you can give a classroom teacher,” says Stratford teacher and 2011 State Teacher of the Year Kristen Record.
Teachers think back fondly on the students they taught decades ago, and adults remember with gratitude the teachers who inspired their career choices and encouraged them to become who they are today.
