Racially & Ethnically Diverse Educator Scholarship
This scholarship is available to qualified ethnic minority high school seniors and college students who intend to enter the teaching profession in Connecticut. CEF awards a $2000 scholarship for each year of undergraduate study leading to obtaining Connecticut teaching credentials. The applicant must be a full time high school student currently enrolled in a public high school in Connecticut or a full time college student currently enrolled in a Connecticut college. Applicants must be able to indicate evidence of interest in teaching as a career in college and confirm their intention to enter the teaching profession in Connecticut. DiGiovanni Future Teacher Scholarship
This $2,000 scholarship is open to the children of CEA members, CEA-Retired members, and staff. The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time college student who has completed at least three semesters or four trimesters within the last two years and can demonstrate evidence of pursuing interest in teaching as a career and confirm their intention to enter the teaching profession in Connecticut. Gloria Brown Aspiring Educator Scholarship
Members of the CEA Aspiring Educators program who exhibit exceptional leadership, unionism, and a commitment to public education are eligible for this scholarship. The recipient receives a one-time $2,000 scholarship toward their schooling, professional clothing, or materials needed to start a career in public education. This award honors and remembers member Gloria Brown, who dedicated her career and retirement to public education and unionism. For more information and to apply, click here.
