It’s time to celebrate! As the Connecticut Education Foundation plans the second annual CEA Celebrates Education and Advocacy Gala, CEF is looking to honor members who are committed to both unionism and public education.
The CEF gala will honor one early-career educator and one retired member, and we’re seeking nominations.
- The early-career educator should be a member in the first seven years of teaching who has gone above and beyond with education and advocacy efforts.
- The retiree award winner should be a CEA-Retired member who continues to actively support teachers, public education, and the work of CEA and CEA-Retired.
The gala committee will accept nominations through Friday, August 23.
If you know a member who does not fit these specific criteria but deserves to be recognized, please look for our Human and Civil Rights Awards and Public Relations Awards nominations later in the school year.
We are also considering honoring an administrator (superintendent or building administrator) who is committed to caring for their school community, protecting teacher rights, and doing what’s best for Connecticut public schools. If you know an administrator who deserves to be recognized, please fill out the nomination form.
We look forward to celebrating with you at our annual gala on Friday, September 27. Find more information, as well as tickets and sponsorship opportunities, here.
