This Election Day, come together with educators from across the state to explore innovative classroom strategies that foster joy, empathy, and belonging at all grade levels.
On November 7, enjoy some laughs with nationally acclaimed classroom teacher and humorist Devin Siebold, and learn through breakout sessions created by and for teachers and administrators. These include
- re-centering joy in schools as a foundation for teaching and learning, and
- practical strategies to foster joy, empathy, equity, belonging, and play.
This event runs 8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. at the Sheraton Hartford South, 100 Capital Blvd, Rocky Hill, fulfills professional development credit hours, and is free for CEA members.
The day is sponsored by CEA, CAPSS, CT ASCD, CSDE, and TLFA at Isabelle Farrington College of Education & Human Development of Sacred Heart University, with support from CAS and CABE.
