Learn how to make use of past repayment periods toward loan forgiveness and find out if you should consolidate your loans at an upcoming NEA webinar on June 12.
The Department of Education is conducting a one-time account adjustment that will help borrowers count more of their past repayment periods towards forgiveness. While these adjustments will be automatic for most people, if you have a Parent PLUS loan or FFEL, those must consolidate by June 30, 2024, or you’ll miss out on this benefit.
NEA Member Benefits partner Savi is hosting a workshop for Connecticut and Massachusetts educators on June 12 at 6 p.m. to help you understand the one-time account adjustments and take any necessary steps before the deadline. This workshop will help you:
- Learn what the adjustments are and how to benefit from them
- Determine if you need to consolidate your loans
- Take any necessary steps before the deadline
- Get started with the Savi tool and free resources
