If as a state we choose to prioritize full-time in-person learning, we also need to prioritize vaccinating educators. Teachers want to be in school with their students, but they shouldn’t have to risk their own health and safety and that of their families to do so.
Without access to the vaccine, educators will continue to be forced into frequent quarantines. Staffing shortages caused by high numbers of staff in quarantine have closed schools around the state and will continue to do so.
Connecticut needs to do what’s right for our students, our educators, our families, and our communities. If school is a priority, our school staff must be too.
We must Vaccinate Educators Now!
