Every summer, around 6,000 educators representing millions of colleagues around the country come together to debate the vital issues that impact American public education and to set policy and activities for the National Education Association for the year ahead.
“I can tell you it’s one of the most rewarding, invigorating educational experiences outside the classroom,” says CEA President Kate Dias, adding, “I encourage our members to see for themselves.”
The NEA Representative Assembly (RA) is the world’s largest democratic, deliberative body by educators for educators. The 2023 NEA RA will be held in Orlando, Florida, in early July, and nominations for delegates are being accepted now through December 1. CEA reimburses for the cost of accommodations, travel and meals for those elected as state delegates.
Nominations are also open for CEA-Retired representatives at the CEA RA, as well as positions for NEA and County Directors.
