Parents, students, and families from across Connecticut are sharing moving stories about the extraordinary dedication of teachers who, despite overwhelming obstacles, go to great lengths to meet the diverse needs of their students. In CEA’s new ad campaign, Teachers Go the Extra Mile, these families stress how teachers continue to go above and beyond, driven by a commitment to meet their students’ needs and help them succeed and thrive.
In the latest episode of CEA’s podcast, Newington teacher Jennifer Rodriguez, a participant in the ad campaign, talks with CEA President Kate Dias and Vice President Joslyn DeLancey about how teachers go the extra mile and why it’s so important to get the word out.
“The beauty of this campaign is that it’s not just educators talking, it’s mostly parents, families, and students talking, and that’s what we need to hear more of,” Rodriguez says.
