As Connecticut’s 2025 legislative session kicks off next week, CEA-Retired is gearing up to play a pivotal role in advocating for teachers and public education.
In a landmark event, CEA leaders joined Senator Richard Blumenthal and representatives from various public service unions at a news conference to celebrate the historic repeal of the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO).
“We cannot do what we do without the work of our retired educators,” CEA President Kate Dias told CEA-Retired members at their annual fall meeting.
